Welcome to the MA-TechDirs listserv, a forum to exchange ideas and information with state Technology Directors. This list is maintained by METAA (Massachusetts Educational Technology Administrators Association) http://www.techdirectors.org To ensure that this listserv operates at a high 'content to noise' ratio, please observe the following protocol for each posted topic: Member posts a question to the listserv. Replies are sent directly to poster only, not to the listserv. Poster collects all replies for an arbitrary period (a week?) depending on time of year. Poster then sends the results back to the listserv, which could be the raw collection of replies, and/or a short summary of their findings. This appears to satisfy the competing needs of those who want to know all the answers, and those who don't want to be receiving an email every 20 minutes. The net effect would be no more than 2 emails for every posted question. (In the case of no replies, the poster could indicate that.) For those of us with threaded email systems, the 2nd email should always be as a Reply of the original. Remember--this is NOT a discussion listserv. It is an information broadcast and request forum. Using MA-TechDirs
To post a message to all the list members, send email to ma-techdirs@lists.additionnetworks.net. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to MA-TechDirs
Subscribe to MA-TechDirs by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
